Types of Dental Restoration

There are many different types of dental restorations. Overall it includes addressing the wear and tear on your teeth such as chips, cracks, decayed, missing, or damaged teeth. Depending on your specific need for oral health services, Dr. Norton can perform one of the two types of dental restorations.
*Indirect: This scope of restoration includes services that are customized tooth replacements such as crowns, inlays, onlays, and covers. There are various types of materials used in these procedures including porcelain, tooth colored resin, and gold. This restoration consists of more than one office visit since it requires customized material molded in a lab to fit your teeth.
*Direct: This involves adhering material into the tooth directly and right away. This procedure can be completed within one office visit, due to the nature of it being a more immediate filling.
While these are the two main types of dental restorations, there are many different services within each aspect of dental restoration.
