Summer is fast approaching which means both the weather and events around Gilbert are heating up. Below is a quick list of just a few great events and activities going on in Gilbert this May. Downtown Concert Series

Every other Thursday from April 28th to June 2nd at 6:30pm a concert will be held as part of Gilbert’s Downtown Concert Series. This family-friendly, outdoor series of shows will take place at the Water Tower Plaza right in the middle of Gilbert’s Heritage District. This event is free for all who wish to attend – so bring your chairs, blankets and food and enjoy a picnic with some tunes. April 28th Thomas Muglia, Ameican Idol Season 15 contestant, will be performing. May 12th will be Sistah’s Too. May 26th will feature Desert Dixie and finally June 2nd will be the Southwest Surfers.

Gilbert Town Square Twilight Market

Beat the daytime heat by doing your shopping under the stars! Wednesday evenings in May experience the Twilight Farmers Market from 3:30pm – 7pm. Bring the family and pups to enjoy over 25 vendors serving up local produce, baked goods and more. Always free to attend!

Gilbert Historical Society Memorial Day Event

Get to know the history of Gilbert and our country this Memorial Day at the Gilbert Historical Society. The event will feature a flag and wreath ceremony, words from local Gilbert dignitaries including Ret. major Darius McClintock, a Gilbert resident and Vietnam Veteran, and music by the Ahwatukee Foothills Concert Band. Admission to this event is free!
