May Events Around the Valley of the Sun
The weather’s heating up, school semesters are winding to a close and you’re probably on the lookout for some fun activities to enjoy with family and friends. Lifetime Family Dental’s got your back! Salt River Tubing – Opens May 1st 2017
How Much? $17 for tube rental and shuttle; $14 for shuttle only.
Where? 9200 N. Bush Highway, Mesa. Salt River Tubing
When? 9AM – 6:30PM daily. Final tube rental at 1:30PM. Final shuttle pickup at 6:30PM
A great activity for the whole family (as long as the young ones are 8 or older) or a fun day trip for the grown ups! If you grew up here in Arizona, you’re likely familiar with Salt River tubing. Spend 2, 3 or even 5 hours floating down the cool Salt River. A quick bus ride to the start point after renting your tubes starts the adventure. Get off at any of the three exit points. Bring plenty of sunscreen, water shoes, an old sheet to keep your tube cool, a cooler full of lot’s of water, and lots of snacks!
Science Center – Planet Shark: Predator or Prey
How Much? $29.95 or $22.95 for ages 3-17
Where? Sybil B. Harrington Galleries, Arizona Science Center
When? 10AM – 5PM through May 29th
Who isn’t fascinated by sharks? Bring your young scientists to this immersive family friendly event at the Phoenix Science Center running through the end of May. Experience a multi-sensory, walk-through cinematic gallery created with cutting-edge Sensory4 Technology experience. The exhibit traces millions of years of evolution and that culminates with the impressive great white shark. View shark models cast from real great whites along with a collection of real shark jaws and teeth and ancient, rare fossils.
